The damp proof membrane for the internal skin is layed on a bed of mortar on the concrete floor.

Much progress over the last two days. The block work for the inner skin is starting to go up. They’ve made wooden frames to the exact size that the doors and windows will be so the blockwork can be built around them.

Nice stainless steel wall ties are used.

Here you can see a cavity closer. The cavity closers are made of UPVC and are filled with insulation.

This insulation will fill the cavity. It’s made out of recycled plastic bottles.
