Haven’t done too much for a few weeks due to hot weather and going away for weekends. Today I decided to cut up the big sheets of particle board that have been covering the drive for about two years. I got the circular saw I’ve been after for ages and soon had the filthy stuff sliced up into little rectangles which I’m drying out. They will end up in the wood burner one day and keep me warm.

This old cast iron bath has done me well. I’ve had over 6000 baths in it over the years. It’s been moved around while I’ve been working on the extension and it’s been in what is going to be the kitchen for about a year now. It’s so heavy I have to use a hydraulic jack to move it around. The enamel is very worn and to help me transport it to the metal recyclers it’s going to be smashed up with a sledge hammer.
