Using a laser to plot where the stud work will go next.
The story of my extension being built
Just over a year after the old conservatory was dismantled, the last remnants of it are finally sawn up for fire wood. Bits of the old roof have been used for the overflow wood shed which contains the wood removed from the end of the garage. The roof of the conservatory protected some firewood from the rain over the winter.
The last tile. Tiling is madness. Grouting with epoxy grout is awful: it goes off faster than you can use it and it’s terrible stuff to clean off anything it gets onto. This bathroom has consumed £275 worth of grout! There are still some bits I’ll finish off with normal grout.

The new bath with its amazing taps or ‘bath filler’ is installed. The plumbing now extends to where the shower is going to be. Just don’t turn those taps on yet. It’s not as comfortable or deep as the old bath because the bottom is too flat, but it’s probably more thermally efficient (or inefficient which would be better) and looks very nice.
